A 41-year-old man is in custody after the bodies of two 18-year-old Bend residents were found in a garage by a homeowner in southwest Bend. According to a news release from the Bend Police Department:

At 11:16 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, Bend Police were called to a home in the 20000 block of Mount Faith Place in Bend. The homeowner reported having found a dead body in the garage. When police arrived, they entered the home and found one of the victims dead in the garage of the home. They secured the scene until detectives could arrive.

An initial investigation found that on Tuesday, Aug. 16, the victims and 41-year-old Wesley Abel Brady were doing work around the house for the homeowner. While drinking alcohol at the Mount Faith Place home later that evening, Alfredo P. Hernandez, 18 and Brady got into a physical altercation, and Brady murdered both Hernandez and Angela Alexus Pastorino, also 18. He then placed their bodies in the home’s garage before eventually traveling to a property in Christmas Valley.

While police were at the scene, Brady arrived in the area of the home. He was detained and remains in custody.

The victims had been reported missing earlier in the day by a concerned family member.

Bend Police applied for and received search warrants for the home on Mount Faith Place, two vehicles and the property in Christmas Valley. Those are being executed at this time. The Central Oregon Major Incident Team has been activated. The investigation is ongoing.
