Authorities Ask For Help In Locating Pursuit Vehicle

Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is aksing for the public’s help in finding a couple who led deputies on a pursuit. The unknown female driver and unknown male passenger were in a newer model compact or mid-size SUV, blue in color, bearing an Arizona plate similar to “CVM3211”

On May 20, 2024, at about 9:15 am a Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a vehicle traveling north on Highway 97 near MP 143 that was traveling at an estimated 90 mph. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled. A second Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office deputy was able to deploy “Stop Sticks” in an attempt to stop the vehicle from creating a greater danger to the public in area of Knott Road and Rickard Road.

It is believed the suspect vehicle was successfully “spiked” and it is believed one or more tires were affected by the “Stop Sticks”. The suspect vehicle continued to drive recklessly (passing on the right) and at a high rate of speed when it was last seen north bound on 27th St. near Stevens Road.

The suspect vehicle was able to successfully elude Law Enforcement after being “spiked” and at this time is still outstanding.

The suspect vehicle was occupied by a female driver, and male passenger who were operating a newer model compact or mid-sized SUV, blue in color, bearing Arizona license plate similar to “CVM3211”

The vehicle was described as have low profile “racing” style tires/wheels. The vehicle could possibly have been abandoned in the area of SE Bend or east of Bend city limits. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for their assistance, if the suspect vehicle is witnessed, please contact Deschutes County 911 Dispatch non-emergency at 541-693-6911.
