NeighborImpact’s Child Care Resources is currently accepting applications for Baby Promise, a no-cost child care program for families with children ages six weeks to three years old. Baby Promise offers full-year, full-time child care through a network of licensed providers across Central Oregon.

Baby Promise is more than free child care, it’s a comprehensive support program for families. In addition to covering the full cost of care and assisting the family with the child care search the program also provides essentials during care such as diapers, wipes, infant formula, meals, and snacks at no cost to the family. This ensures that children’s basic needs are met and that families experience fewer financial and logistical burdens.

To maintain a high standard of care, all Baby Promise providers receive ongoing professional development and support from a team of experts, including an Instructional Coach and an Infant/Toddler Specialist. Providers also receive funding to enhance their classrooms with high-quality learning materials that promote early development and school readiness.

Child care slots are reserved for families who are eligible for the Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) program through the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). Families earning up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify. For detailed eligibility information, visit: https://www.oregon.gov/delc/erdc.

Important Update: Due to recent changes, there is now a waitlist for new ERDC applicants. However, families selected for a Baby Promise slot can bypass the ERDC waitlist. If you’re hoping to access financial assistance for child care and want to avoid long wait times for ERDC, applying for Baby Promise is a valuable opportunity.

How to Apply: Families interested in enrolling their child in a fully-funded Baby Promise child care slot are invited to submit an application at neighborimpact.org/babypromise. For questions, please contact us at babypromise@neighborimpact.org or (541) 419-0057.
